SEASON 4 MASTER LEAGUE POWER RANKINGS WEEK 6

Hello everybody, apologies for all of the inconveniences recently with the news, but we are back! Now that we are half way through the season, we have decided to do shorter write-ups… on every team. That’s right, no more complaining about not having a write-up on a team because you get a write-up, you get a write-up, everybody gets a write-up! These will be summaries on your first half of the season. This took a lot of effort to do and the master write-ups are all possible because of the legendary Bahi! This is his first week with us at the news team and he has put together something on EVERY team and it is much appreciated. Any love shown towards him would be nice and he also asks for some feedback and criticism to improve his work moving forward. You can do this by messaging him, notifying him in the Discord or do the same to me. As I said already please show some appreciation to him for all of his work this week as it is hours upon hours of it.

As a side note, we are currently short of news staff, if you would like to see more news get released regularly and feel like you might be fit for the job, then send in a staff application and we can start getting your work out to the IEL community!

  16. Bad Karma eSports

The following write-ups are ordered alphabetically with their division and position stated.

AEon eSports,

currently at 7th place in the Cerium Division is standing with 4 wins and 8 losses. So far AEon eSports seems to struggle the most with themselves. A whopping 5 FFs out of 12 games played is the reason they are not a contender for playoffs this season. It would have been interesting to see where they could be as they showed their potential in the games they played. Beating Insanity 3-2 and winning 55% of the games they played. Unfortunately, “what ifs” are not what we are counting in IEL.

Austrian Force,

currently at 2nd place in the Rubidium Division is standing with 8 wins and 4 losses. The alpine warriors are a strong team for sure. They showed great potential for being a top contender by only losing against top teams. Hopefully their unexpected loss against Primal eSports in week 6 won´t come back to hurt them. At this point Austrian Force should make it into the playoffs almost guaranteed. I am sure the team around Manuel is aiming for even more though.

Aztecs,

currently at 3rd place in the Rubidium Division is standing with 6 wins and 6 losses. Winning and losing 1 game per week so far Aztecs seems to be struggling with building momentum. They are capable of competing and qualifying for the playoffs and showed that multiple times so far. Unfortunately, their inconsistent performance forced them to take losses against teams who have to beat if you want a safe spot within the playoffs. I do not see them catching up to the top 2 teams in their division at this point.

Bad Karma eSports,

currently at 8th place in the Europium Division is standing with 2 wins and 10 losses. Taking their first win against Sonic Wave in their cross-conference game shows that Bad Karma was struggling from the beginning. They had some close matches against Throne Gaming, Built By Us, Reflux and Team Absolut but were never able to close the games in their favor. Those could have been potential turning points for the team. An unexpected 3-0 sweep against R3D Water might be what the team needs to gain some momentum. Unfortunately, a spot within the playoffs is not achievable anymore.

Built By Us,

currently at 5th place in the Europium Division is standing with 5 wins and 7 losses. After a rough start into the season Built By Us started gaining momentum. Winning 5 out of their6 next games only losing against the top team in their division. Unfortunately it seems like they lost all that momentum at are struggling to regain their confidence. I personally do not think there is a chance for them to snatch a spot in the playoffs, but I am willing to be surprised by them. I love a god comeback story.

Crown Gaming,

currently at 8th place in the Rubidium Division is standing with 1 win and 9 losses. A rough first two weeks have sent the team into an internal struggle they have yet to overcome. It has been FF season for Crown Gaming so far. I wish them all the best and a better second half of the IEL season.

DéjàVu eSports,

currently at 2nd place in the Caesium Division is standing with 9 wins and 3 losses. A respectable season so far from the team at DéjàVu eSports. Losing only against the two other top 3 teams in their division but a better win% is placing them above Team Ascendant for now. Anything but a spot in the playoffs would be a surprise. I personally think they have the ability to take names within the playoffs too based on their performance in top matches so far.

eNightmare,

currently at 5th place in the Cerium Division is standing with 6 wins and 6 losses. Their current score makes you believe a small miracle needs to happen for them to qualify for the playoffs. But the Cesium Division has anything but clear top teams. 4 teams are only 1 win separated from each other so it will all be decided in the second half of the season. eNightmarebuilt momentum lately with only losing 1 game during their last 5 games. This might give them the boost they need to come out on top and qualify for the playoffs.

Enigma,

currently at 4th place in the Rubidium Division is standing with 5 wins and 7 losses. After 3 weeks Enigma looked like a strong competitor with 5 wins and only 2 losses. Unfortunately, they were not able to keep up their performance have been struggling ever since. At this point I don´t think they will be ale to qualify for the playoffs. I think that they are still able to provide a though challenge for top teams on their path to the playoffs.

Erisean eSports,

currently at 4th place in the Caesium Division is standing with 7 wins and 5 losses. Erisean eSports is a team you should watch out for. They lost pretty much only to top teams and put up a fight each time for sure. Especially their player Gucci, who scored 40% of the teams’ goals so far is a big reason not to underestimate them. Only two wins behind third and second (they are tied at 9-3) place in their division they are still fighting for a spot in the playoffs.  I would be surprised not to see their name in the final bracket of the playoffs to be honest.

Glacier,

currently at 5th place in the Caesium Division is standing with 7 wins and 5 losses. With the same record as Erisean eSports only their worse win% keeps them behind at the moment. After a strong start in the season Glacier took a hard blow in the weeks 5 and 6. One win, one FF win, one double FF and one FF loss does not sound like a fun time. It is the task of Glacier now to bounce back and keep playing on their highest levels. Because with that they still have a realistic chance to qualify for the playoffs.

Insanity,

currently at 2nd place in the Cerium Division is standing with 7 wins and 5 losses. After an extremely good start into the season winning all of their first 4 games. Insanity struggled through week 3 and 4. It seems that they were able to bounce back and secure themselves a spot in the top group of the Cerium Division. Closely followed by Xero and R3D Water there is no time to relax for Insanity if they want to secure their second place and their safe ticket to the playoffs.

Instinct eSports,

currently at 7th place in the Europium Division is standing with 3 wins and 9 losses. It all seemed like a promising season after winning their first two games but unfortunately that impression did not last long. Struggling through the rest of the season with FFs after FFs Instinct never really recovered. With their current standing we will not see them compete in the playoffs. They same way we will most likely never see any stats entered for their Master team.

iNTACT.gg,

currently at 1st place in the Cerium Division is standing with 9 wins and 3 losses. Beating every other team in their division iNTACT.gg established themselves as the top team. Losing only to top teams from other divisions iNTACT.gg should have no problem qualifying for the playoffs. Their real challenge will start in the playoffs. But I am confident that iNTACT.gg will use the second half o the season to prepare for the upcoming challengers within the playoffs.

NoHope eSports,

currently at 8th place in the Cerium Division isstanding with 3 wins and 9 losses. The season so far is a struggle for NoHope eSports. Only winning with FFs or against other struggling teams I personally see no hope for them to secure a spot in the playoffs.

Oasis eSports,

currently at 6th place in the Rubidium Division is standing with 3 wins and 9 losses. The first season for Oasis eSport in the IEL did for sure not go as planned. Roster changes and a many close games prevented them from gaining momentum. A win against a weakened RL Ireland shortly provided a glimpse of hope which was crushed with two losses in the following week. With their current standing there is spot in the playoffs reserved for Oasis.

Primal eSports,

currently at 6th place in the Caesium Division is standing with 5 wins and 7 losses. You would not expect to see the team with the most goals scored only at 6th place in their division. Unfortunately, a strong offense is only one part of the equation. Primal eSports seems to struggle with their defense and consistency.  Losing against Prophecy and taking a FF against NoHope eSports did not help their chances to qualify for the playoffs. Winning their last 4 games in a row might give them the second wind they need.

Prophecy,

currently at 7th place in the Caesium Division is standing with 3 wins and 9 losses. After a good first week Prophecy was not able to keep up the pace and they struggled throughout the next weeks. Losing every single game except aFF against Crown Gaming. At this point I am sure we unfortunately, won´t see Prophecy in the playoffs.

R3D Water,

currently at 4th place in the Cerium Division is standing with 6 wins and 6 losses. R3D Water is another team in Cerium that still can make it to the playoffs. After a good start into the season the seem to struggle lately against teams from their cross-division games. Losing against Reflux, Bad Karma eSports and Throne Gaming in a row did not help their standing in the Cerium Division. They have to get back up again and find their old peak performance again if they want to reverse this downwards trend in the rest of the season.

Reflux,

currently at 3th place in the Europium Division is standing with 8 wins and 4 losses. Tied with Team Absolut and Royals, Reflux is a strong competitor in the fight for the second place in the Europium Division. So far, they were able to win every single cross-division game which put them in a very good position after their close loss against Glacier. If they keep going with that trend and are able to get their revenge in the direct duel against Royals, I am sure we will see Reflux competing in the playoffs.

Royals,

currently at 2nd place in the Europium Division is standing with 8 wins and 4 losses. Royals is another competitor in the fight for the second place in the Europium Division. Thanks to their good win% Royals were able to secure the second place for now. They bounced back from an unexpected loss against eNightmare and won the rest of their cross-division games so far. It all will come down to the direct duels between the teams, who are fighting for the second place in the second half of the IEL season.

RL Ireland,

currently at 1st place in the Caesium Division is standing with 10 wins and 2 losses. With the second-best standing, after Warlocks, RL Ireland made a clear statement who they think should win the IEL season 4. Their two losses against Oasis eSport and Shamrock eSports came out of nowhere and should not impact their path towards the playoffs to much. I personally can’t wait for the clash of the titans in week 8. Warlocks vs RL Ireland might give us a glimpse of what we can expect in the later phases of the playoffs.

Shadow eSports,

currently at 6th place in the Cerium Division is standing with 5 wins and 7 losses. Being 6th in a group of 8 teams after half of the games being played and still having a chance to qualify for the playoffs shows you how close the teams are together in the Cerium Division. Shadow eSports needs to continue to pick up important wins in the cross-division phase and clutch it out in the direct duels in the second round of games in their own division if they want to qualify for the playoffs.

Shamrock eSports,

currently at 7th place in the RubidiumDivision is standing with 2 wins and 10 losses. Winning against RL Ireland is potentially the only thing that put a smile on the faces of the players from Shamrock eSports so far. Close games and roster changes seem to be the source of problems for Shamrock eSports. Showing good sportsmanship, I expect them to cheer for their fellow Irish countrymen during the playoffs, they unfortunately won´t participate in.

Sonic Wave,

currently at 8th place in the Caesium Division is standing with 2 wins and 9 losses. It has been a rough season for Sonic Wave. Waiting for their first victories until week 6 they might be able to gain some momentum out of those 2 wins in a row and gain back a bit of their honor. Unfortunately, will won´t see them playing in the playoffs.

Team Absolut,

currently at 4th place in the Europium Division is standing with 8 wins and 4 losses. After tearing through their competition in the beginning of the season their momentum was stopped by losses against Reflux and DéjàVu eSports. Team Absolut is playing a solid season only losing against top teams and always putting up a fight in those challenges. If they are able to keep that spirit going it will come down to the direct duels in their division to decide who will be sitting on the second place at the of the group stage.

Team Ascendant,

currently at 3rd place in the Caesium Division is standing with 9 wins and 3 losses. Tied with DéjàVu eSportsonly being put in the 3rd place because of their win%. A direct win over DéjàVu eSports should give Team Ascendant the confidence that they will be able to pass them in the long run and directly qualify for the playoffs. They showed that confidence by winning 5 out of their last 6 games only being defeated by Austrian Force. If they keep up that performance, they will be playing in the playoffs one way or another.

Throne Gaming,

currently at 6th place in the Europium Division is standing with 5 wins and 7 losses. It has been a mixed season for Throne Gaming so far. Some good wins and some close loses. With their current standing and considering the division they are in I don´t see them qualifying for the playoffs but on the other hand if it is possible in any division it is possible in the Europium Division. Maybe the momentum and second wind are about to hit Throne Gaming after strong win against R3D Water.

Triumph,

currently at 5th place in the Rubidium Division is standing with 4 wins and 7 losses. After a solid start with 4 good wins and 2 strong showings in matches against the top teams Triumph was looking promising. Unfortunately, they could not live up to the expectations as they went on a losing streak ever since. Week 6 further darkened the situation with FFs in both games. They need a major performance boost to even have a chance at qualifying for the playoffs. At this point I do not see them playing in them though.

Warhawks,

currently at 1st place in the Europium Division is standing with 9 wins and 3 losses. The top team of this division has been flying in a clear blue sky ever since the season started. The only clouds so far came in the form of 2 unexpected losses against Team Absolut and R3D Water and the double FF against Bad Karma eSports. Based on their performance after those losses Warhawks is no stranger to learning from defeats and coming back stronger than before. Anything but a spot in the playoffs would be a surprise at this stage of the league.

Warlocks,

currently at 1st place in the Rubidium Division is standing with 12 wins and 0 losses. Instead of going on about how amazing their performance is so far and that they are clearly the team to beat when you want even the smallest chance for winning the master league title I thought I give credit to the teams that were able to win at least 1 game against them in their duel: Triumph, Austrian Force, Royals, Prophecy and EriseaneSports. But in all seriousness, I think nobody can provide me with a reason not to believe that Warlocks are the team to beat in the race for the master league title. They are a force to be reckoned with and have proven that time and time again.

Xero,

currently at 3rd place in the Cerium Division is standing with 7 wins and 5 losses. They are tied with Insanity but have a worse win% which overall puts them in a good spot for the second place in their division. They were on a 5-game win streak until week 6 potentially broke their momentum with a FF against Warhawks and a 0-3 sweep against Reflux. They have to find their peak performance again if they want to keep R3D Water and eNightmare off their backs and finally overtake Insanity for the second place in their division. Chances are high that we are going to see more from Xero in the playoffs.
